Now in its fourth year of data collection, Hungary’s participation in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is led by the Budapest University of Economics and Business (BUEB) through its Budapest LAB Office for Entrepreneurship Development. The latest research, based on surveys of over 2,000 adults and interviews with 36 experts, reveals a stable yet cautious entrepreneurial climate. Key insights: - Only 35.8% of respondents feel they have sufficient knowledge to start a business - 42.1% would avoid entrepreneurship due to fear of failure - Perception of ease in starting a business is declining slightly (43.2%) - Optimism is rising: 32.3% see good opportunities to start a business in the next 6 months Report in Hungarian
