In the past year, entrepreneurial awareness and confidence in Canada have shown an upward trend. A greater number of Canadians are connected to entrepreneurs in 2024. --Three out of five Canadian adults knowing someone who has initiated a business within the last two years. --More individuals in 2024 believe they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to establish their own businesses and perceive favourable local opportunities for doing so. Among the G6 economies, Canada is comparable to the USA in terms of awareness of entrepreneurial activities and aspirations. --Three out of ten Canadian adults intend to start a business in the next three years. --Despite these positive indicators, fear of failure remains a significant barrier to new startups. Canada’s fear of failure level surpasses that of the USA, Germany, and Italy.
